Prez greets Himachal Pradesh to get second place in Niti Aayog Development Index in 2021

President of India Ramnath Kovind  greeted Himachal Pradesh Government for achieving the 2nd place in the Niti Aayog development index for the year 2020-21 giving the reference of a report published recently.
President of India was addressing a special session of Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha on the Golden Jubilee Celebration of complete statehood in the council chamber here today.
President greeted the people of Himachal, Governor Rajinder Kumar Arlekar and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur for getting the 2nd place in the Niti Aayog Development index report for the year 2020-21.
” Himachal was the abode of former Prime minister Atal Behari Vajapayee he not  only gave Industrial package to this state moreover laid the foundation stone of world longest underground Rohtang Atal tunnel in 2002 to link tourist resort Manali with Keylong commissioned and dedicated to people of Himachal Pradesh early this year by Prime minister Narendra Modi.
President going down the memory line said that in 1974 he visited the Kullu Manali since than he has  come to Himachal Pradesh to participate in various programm , ” I was impressed to the hard works, simplicity, honesty and hospitality of the state, every journey to Himachal is refreshing and rejuvenating have felt and enjoyed it in every visit to Himachal”  he said.
President said that he greeted Prime Minister of India on his birth day this morning on the telephone Mr Modi also greeted the people of Himachal Pradesh for achieving the 50 yrs of complete statehood. Mr Ramnath Kovind also greeted the people of the state for achieving a 100 per cent target in a single dose of Covid Vaccination and said that he joined with Prime minister of India to greet the people of the state.
President said that this council of chamber is testimony of many historical event of  Modern India. Mr. Bitthal Bhai Patel was elected first Speaker of the Central legislative Assembly in this hall after defeating a Britisher. Serving as presiding officer of CLA Mr Patel set number of precedence’s and examples being followed even today in many state, parliamentary democracy. 
President said that it is great occasion when India is celebrating 75 yrs Amrit Mohatnsav of Independence this hill state is celebrating the 50 yrs of its statehood as it was founded after passing Himachal Pradesh State Act 1971 and it becamethe 18 state of union of India.
