Pratibha Singh to be new Cong chief of Himachal

Congress party in Himachal Pradesh made a big shake just before state assembly elections appointing member of Parliament Pratibha Singh as Pradesh Congress committee chief replacing Kuldeep Singh Rathore who was made  member steering committee. Congress party press AICC release issued here today said that Ms Singh appointed as PCC chief today. She is member of Parliament from Mandi Lok Sabha and widow of former Chief minister late Virbhadra Singh, she won bye election from Mandi Lok Sabha recently. Ms Singh was took PCC chief just before Assembly Election going to held in November this year. Mr Kuldeep Singh Rathore who was incumbent PCC chief was appointed as one of ten member of party steering committer having chairman Anand Sharma Convenor Asha Kumari,  Dhani Ram Thakur and seven others members. Mr Rathore took over as PCC Chief on two years ago and succeed to win two MC and bye election in Himachal Pradesh. Former Congress president Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu who is four times members of Assembly from Naudan Assembly of Hamirpur was elected  Congress Assembly Election campaign committee in-charge by the AICC. Four party working president were also made by AICC including Rajinder Rana from Sujanpur(Hamirpur), Harash Mahajan from Chamba, Vinay Kumar from Renuka(Siramaur) and Pawan Kajol from Kangra. Congress party legislative leader (CLP,) Mukesh Agnihotri would continue on his post for rest period of 13th state legislative Assembly. Seven members steering committee includes Kuldeep Singh Rathore, Smt . Viplove, Thakur Kaul Singh, Ram Lal Thakur, Chander Kumar, Suresh Chandel and Harshwardhan Chouhan beside this PCC President , CLP Leader and Chairman , Campaign Committee will be the permanent invitees of the Steering Committee .Party also appointed Harshvardhan Chauhan ad Deputy CLP Leader and Jagat Singh Negi as Chief Whip. Congress made reshuffle in the state party leadership after firece factionalism in the Punjab Congress Committee and poll debacle in Five states including Punjab recently. Several letters were written by the Congress party leaders including MLAs to change the PCC chief after the emergence of AAP in Himachal Pradesh as formidable force as two Election rallies and road shows were being held.
