Pratibha Singh installation as HP Cong chief , Party organized show of strength
The Congress Member of Parliament and wife of former Chief Minister late Virbhadra Singh, Smt Pratibha Singh today formerly took over as the party new state chief and a show of strength was organised at Ambedkar Chowk Shimla this morning which was attended number of party top state leaders including Party state in charge Rajiv Shukala, Congress Sanjay Dutt and Ravneet Bitu including CLP leader Mukesh Agnihotri, Party Vidhan Sabha election campaign committee in charge Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Former HPCC chief Kaul Singh Thakur and member of assembly Ram Lal Thakur etc. Addressing a public meeting Rajiv Shukala said that the way the entire party leadership assembled under one roof in this meeting shows that the party is firmly united to face the upcoming Assembly election in the state and would come to power.Addressing the rally HPCC chief Pratibha Singh said that AICC chief Sonia Gandhi gave respect to the women of Himachal by elevating her as party Chief and she would commit to continue the legacy of Virbhadra Singh. The roadmap and developmental program launched by Virbhadra Singh would be carried forward by the Congress after coming in power again. She said that party would expose the Narendra Modi Government for failing to provide two crore employment avenues every year. She lashed out the central government for burdening every household by exorbitant hikes in fuel prices. She said that BJP has learnt nothing from the result of bye election but it is still engaged in hiking the prices by increasing VAT on diesel and petrol. She said that Modi government completely ruined the household budget and burnt of price rise confined to all section of society. She said that center government is trying to digress the from the burning issues of people by trying to focus of emotive issues in which government would not succeed. Ram Lal Thakur said that all the party leaders should take pledge to fight together to win the upcoming election and party leadership would go to the doorstep of people to get support in the election. CLP leader said that Jai Ram Thakur Government is on departure lounge but it was unfortunate that he is leaving a debt burden of about Rs 85,000Cr on the state exchequer. He said that control of Jai Ram Government is not only confined to Delhi but it was being controlled from different centers like Jaipur, Nagpur and Delhi. He said that it is not easy to decide who would be Chief Minister in the party as one has to elect as MLA first then the party should have strength of 36 to 38 MLAs then ball would be in the party high command to decide about the next party leader. Sukhinnder Singh Sukhu said that the BJP government in Himachal is just a puppet and its entire control is in Delhi. He pointed out that if there is no corruption in Jai Ram Government why BJP removed party president Rajiv Bindal. It never explained the reason to downsize the party president who was earlier cabinet minister. He said that party would not go with chief minister face in the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections and the next party legislative leader would be shortlisted as CM face by the party high command. Former HPCC leader Kuldeep Singh Rathore also attended the rally and said that he is firmly standing with Rani Pratibha Singh and he would accept the AICC decision whatever it would decided he would abide it with great regard. He said that party would not left any stone un turned to ensure party victory in the upcoming assembly election.
