Pratibha Singh congratulated people of Sirmour for getting tribal status for Hattee Community

Congress President MP Pratibha Singh has congratulated the people of Sirmour for declaring the status of the Hattee community of Sirmaur district as scheduled tribe. She has said that the people of Sirmour district were fighting for their demand for a long time and their struggle has been successful, for this the people of Sirmour deserve congratulations.

Pratibha Singh said that former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh had demanded from the Center to give tribal status to Hattee community in the state during his reign, and he is happy that today the demand of tribal status for Hattee has been fulfilled.

Pratibha Singh has asked the government to implement this decision immediately. However, while terming this decision as a decision taken in view of the state assembly elections, he has said that now it has to be seen when the government implements this decision. He said that assembly elections are going to be held soon in the state, in such a situation, the central government has probably taken this decision to give political benefits to the BJP government of the state. He has expressed doubts that this decision should not prove to be an election gimmick, because in these elections the BJP will have to face a crushing defeat in the state.
