Prakash & Hoshiyar continue be Independent MLAs in HP Assembly: speaker

Members of Assembly from Jogindernagar Mr Prakash Rana and from Dehragopipur Hoshiyar Singh continue to be sit among opposition benches as Independent MLAs in Monsoon Session of Himachal Pradesh Assembly commencing from August 10. This was stated by the speaker of Himachal Pradesh Assembly Vipin Singh Parmar while addressing a press conference held here today. Replying to status of Congress complaint against two Independent MLAs for allegedly violated the Antidefaction law speaker said that matter is still under his consideration however both members to allotted sitting arrangements as separate group in the house. Speaker said that he had asked the Congress party leader if they have filed Complaint or Petition against two MLAs. He said that rule of law would prevail in the matter and member would continue to be Independent member. He  said that to run the session smoothly and allowed the members to participate in the session an all party meeting is convened by him before the commencement of session. Speaker said that this monsoon would be last and 15 th session of present 13th legislative assembly un which members would get full opportunity to raises their Assemblies specific queries and issues.  Speakersaid that notices of 367 questions were received from the members monsoon session including 228 stared and 139 ustarred.He said that all members expected to help the chair to orderly running of proceedings of house and member would be able to raise the issue of the monsoon vagaries and loss casuased by the heavy rains and loss of many lives and washing down of number of people. He said under rule 62 two notices were received, under rule 130 three notices and under 101 rule one information being sought by the members. He said that members raised issue of rising inflation and unemployment, deteriorating condition of roads, issues of DPR of road, Schools, Health Institution, tourism and IPH schemes were raised by the Members to be listed for discision and reply in four days long session starting from August 10 to August 13 in Chamber council in Shimla. He said that one day of last session of 13 th state legislative assembly  would be dedicated to private Member business and obituary refference would be paid to demise of former member of Assembly . Speaker said that special arrangements were made for the session as the state witnessing sudden surge in the Covid pandemic and new epidemic Monkey pox is also possing challenge. He said that all members and staff and audiences are expected to follow SoPs during the session and thermal scanning would be dine on each entey gate of the Assembly. He said that footpedal sanitizer were be installed in the Assembly during the session and isolation Centre is being set in Vidhan sabha dispensary. The Covid testing and an emergency ambulance would be available in the campus during the session. The staff strength of officials and ministerial staff reduced to fifty percent and wearing of masks in the house is compulsory. He said that during session only 70 passes were issued for the morning session and each passes ti be issued for audience in post lunch session.
