Possibility of heavy snowfall on High reaches : State Admins issue weather alert

The state Administration today issued weather alert to the tourists and locals to refrain visiting the high altitudes areas owing to Dec 26 forecast of heavy snowfall.
A state Government spokespersons issued an alert here today appeal the tourists and local people to not move in the high altitude areas from Dec 26 2021 to Jan 1, 2022 owing to forecast of heavy snowfall.
” With effect from December 26, 2021 to January 1 2022, heavy snowfall likely to occur in the upper areas and rainfall in the lower areas . In view of the weather  warning people should avoid going to the high altitudes  so that you could  be safe. ‘an alert issued here today said.
The spokespersons said that if people would move despite of the warning they may put their own lives at risk.
In view of the possibility of snow and rain in the district during this time, all citizens, tourists are informed to avoid going to high altitude areas and stay in their homes at safe places and do not risk any kind. 
Similarly, all Gram Panchayat heads, NGOs, trekkers and citizens are also requested to disseminate this message to maximum people so that any untoward incident could be avoided.
