Polling parties left for destination to conduct bye poll in one LS and two Assembly in Himachal
The polling parties in the the state left for their destination to conduct the bye poll in Mandi Lok Sabha, three assembly bye election schedule to be held onOct 30 in the state.
Chief Electoral officer C Palrasu said that polling parties are already arrived at snowbound area of Himachal Pradesh in Lahaul Spiti, Jubbal Kotkahi and Kinnuar polling station howevermost of polling parties would reach at their respective destination tomorrow.
District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Kinnaur Apoorva Devgan said that 129 polling parties have left for their respective destinations for all the polling stations of 68-Kinnaur assembly constituency and all will reach their destination by evening.
In addition to 27 buses, small vehicles have also been arranged to take the polling parties to their destinations. He informed that 129 polling stations have been set up in 68-Kinnaur Assembly Constituency which includes 3 auxiliary polling stations.
Apoorva Devgan said that all the polling stations have been provided facilities as prescribedby the Election Commission of India so that voters do not face any kind of inconvenience. He said that out of 129 polling stations, webcasting would be done at 65 polling stations. He said that 516 officers and staff including 129 Presiding Officers, 129 Assistant Presiding Officers and 258 Polling Officers have been deployed to complete the polling process at the polling stations.
Apart from this, 104 Presiding, Assistant Presiding and Polling Officers have been kept in reserve. Apart from this, 18 district level nodal officers, 8 sector magistrates, 27 sectormagistrates have been posted.
He informed that 3 model polling stations, 30-Rispa, 51-Kalpa, 112-Bhavanagar-1 have been set up. He said that two polling stations run entirely by women have been set up in which one polling station is 55-Rekong Peo-1, (Executive Engineer’s Office Jal-Shakti Department) and 56-Rekong Peo-2 (Thakur Sen Negi College, Rekong Peo) has been installed.
He said that in Kinnaur assembly constituency, two shadow area polling stations are Sumra and Charang. He said that the highest polling station of the district has been set up at Nako at 3662 meters while the lowest polling station has been set up at Chora-1 at a height of 2086 meters.
He said that the polling party had to cover about 5 kms to reach the polling station at Rupi. they reach on foot. He said that the maximum number of voters would be 954 voters in the 68-Sangla-1 polling station, while only 14 voters would exercise their franchise at the lowest voter 6-ka polling station.
He said that there are 4 very sensitive and 11 sensitive polling stations in the district
He said that in view of the Kovid epidemic at all the polling stations,arrangements have been made at each polling station according to Kovid behavior and Anganwadi and ASHA workers have been deployed for thermal scanning of each voter.

Mandi parliamentary constituency by-elections to be held on October 30.
He said that a total of 37 polling stations have been set up in Pangi sub-division out of which 35 are main polling stations and 2 are auxiliary polling stations.
In which Chask Bhatori polling station is located at the highest altitude. Apart from this, Luj, Mahliyet, Ghagit and Rei are included in the sensitive polling stations.
He also informed that a total of 119 Polling Stations have been set up in Sub-Division Bharmour out of which 112 are Polling Stations and 7 are Auxiliary Polling Stations.
Assistant Returning Officer and SDM Mahendra Pratap Singh said that the last phase of rehearsal for the by-election of Mandi parliamentary seat was held in the conference hall of Kaza section on Thursday. After this 29 polling personnel teams were dispatched.

Many booths do not have internet connectivity, yet a system has been devised so that updates of voting can be given after every two hours.
Assistant Returning Officer Mahendra Pratap Singh has appealed to all the voters of Spiti to vote as much as possible. Naib Tehsildar Vidya Singh Negi was specially present on this occasion.
Women Polling Stations also set up as Model Women Polling Stations have been set up in Keylong.

Tashigang The world’s highest polling station, Tashigang, has a total of 47 voters. The staff and voters will be here in the traditional clothes of Spiti. Along with this, a model polling station has also been built in Rangrik.

Central Election Commission will conduct live webcast of nine polling stations of Kaza subdivision.
