POCSO court convicts accuseds to undergo RI for 5 yrs

Dr.  Parvinder Singh Arora, Additional District and Sessions Judge POCSO Court, Solan, today has convicted and sentenced Gopal Singh.  The convict is to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 5 years under section 354A of IPC, read with section 10 of the POCSO Act, and to pay a fine of Rs.10,000/- and in default of payment of fine, simple imprisonment imposed for two  months.  According to prosecution case , the present case was registered against the accused in the year 2020 , Woman police Station Solan .  On 23.05.2020 , child victim’s mother stated that her children were playing outside the rented accommodation and she was busy in house holds chores.  She stated that her daughter Miss ‘ A ‘ came home and was weeping.  The Child victim is 7 years old and she disclosed that the accused took her in his room and after bolting the door committed sexual assault with her, the prosecution had examined 12 witnesses to prove the offenses.  The case was investigated the then HC Prem chand Pal.
