PM launch phase three of PMGSY in Chamba
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched phase third of PM Gram Sadak Yojana to give the gift of road to the inaccessible villages of the state. Addressing a BJP election meeting at Chogan maidan of Chamba in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday. He said that during Shanta and Dhumal era of Chief minister they keep pleading in Delhi by building riads and development work of people, but they were not heard by Congress rule. Earlier governments had built 7 thousand km of roads in Himachal in 67 yrs. Himachal however BJP government have now built 12 thousand km of rural roads in 8 years. He taunted that the previous governments never tried to fill the potholes roads but we are building new buildings of development. He laid the foundation stone for three hydropower projects including 180 MW Bajoli, 48 MW Chanju, and 30.5 MW Dayothal Chanju Hydro Electric Project in Chamba district. In Una rally, Prime Minister Modi targeted the opponents and said that even after so many years of independence, there is a problem of connectivity. The PM said that today the most modern train of the country has not only stood in Himachal, but has run. The people sitting in Delhi also never took care of the interests of Himachal, due to which the innocent people here had to bear the brunt. He said that his government is emphasizing to make life easy by extending facilities which should have reached the people at remotest part of nation.
