People will take revenge for the insult of Dehra from Hoshiar Singh: Sukhu
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the Leader of the Opposition Jairam Thakur and the BJP do not understand the power of the people in the arrogance of money power. First, he challenged the government employees to contest elections to get the old pension and then said in the assembly that even God cannot save this government. He said that six rebel MLAs of the Congress party and three independent MLAs supported the BJP in the conspiracy to topple the government, but the public rejected the politics of money power and increased the number of Congress MLAs from 34 to 38. He said that for the first time in history, independent MLAs sat on a dharna and went to court to get their resignation accepted. The real reason for this was the pending second installment of the deal with the BJP. After the resignation was accepted, now all three independent MLAs including Hoshiar Singh have received the briefcase. Hoshiar Singh mortgaged the honor of the Dehra assembly constituency to the BJP and now the people of Dehra are ready to take revenge for this insult. He said that BJP candidate from Dehra, Hoshiar Singh, will now try to buy votes from the public with that money, but the public will choose development and will make Congress candidate Kamlesh Thakur victorious with a huge margin.
The Chief Minister said this today while campaigning for Congress candidate Kamlesh Thakur in Khairian, Boungta, Bari, Shivnath, Dhawaala, Thakurdwara, Muhal, Rajol and Dehra of Dehra Assembly constituency. He said that Hoshiar Singh in Dehra was busy doing vote politics only and ignored the development of the area. People of Hoshiar Singh’s own home panchayat are also yearning for development. His priority is to complete the work of his resort and he has nothing to do with development. Six months ago when he came to Haripur, he fulfilled every demand of the independent MLA, but by accusing him of not doing any work, he joined the conspiracy of BJP and sold his MLA post. He said that if the independent MLA had any problem with the Congress government, he should have sat with the BJP, why did he put the burden of by-election on the people. How will Hoshiar Singh get his area developed by sitting in the opposition. He said that even honest workers of BJP will not support Hoshiar Singh because while being an MLA, he harassed BJP workers.
Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that Hoshiar Singh resigned without asking the people of Dehra and now he is asking for votes to become MLA again for three and a half years. He said that the Congress government will complete its five-year term and will also solve the problems of Dehra. Due to Hoshiar Singh’s corrupt mind, the fate of Dehra has changed and within a year the Congress government will change the picture of Dehra. If the law has to be changed to help the Pong Dam displaced people, then the law will also be changed. The office of Superintendent of Police and SE (Public Works Department) will also be opened in Dehra, the notification of which will be issued after the elections. He said that for the first time the Congress party has made a person from a common family from the lower region the Chief Minister.
Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that since coming to power, the Congress government has made efforts to stop the plunder of the state’s resources and has earned additional revenue of Rs 2200 crore in just one year. He said that under the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Scheme, the state is providing pension of Rs 1500 per month to eligible women above 18 years of age and so far Rs 4500 have been distributed in three installments under this scheme. He said that under the Dr. YS Parmar Vidyarthi Loan Scheme, the state government is providing a loan of Rs 20 lakh to poor students at the rate of one percent interest for higher education. Apart from this, the Chief Minister Sukhashraya Scheme has been started for the care and education of orphan children and adopted as Children of the State. He said that the state government is also bearing the expenses of higher education of children of widowed women up to the age of 27 years. Cow milk is being purchased at the rate of Rs 45 and buffalo milk at the rate of Rs 55 per litre and wheat produced through natural farming will be purchased at the rate of Rs 40 and maize at the rate of Rs 30 per kg.
On this occasion, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Aniruddh Singh, Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh, MLA Sanjay Ratan, Ajay Solanki, State Congress Treasurer Dr. Rajesh Sharma and other dignitaries were present.
