People danced to the song named Jolo Paani Re Dive at Peeran Fair on Bhaiya Dooj 

The occasion of Bhaiya Dooj, a traditional fair celebrated from the past in the name of the Junga deity in Peeran concluded on Tuesday. At this fair, hundreds of people from the Sirmaur district, located on the border of Mashobra block, enjoyed the fair to the fullest. A folk theater festival was organized by the committee to entertain the people. In which the artists of Mahasuvi Cultural Arts Forum, apart from Singhtu dance, thoroughly entertained the people who came to the fair by singing various Pahari folk songs. Padmashree Vidyanand Saraik participated in this fair as the chief guest. The artists of Kala Manch started the cultural program by performing a deep dance, Jolo Paani, and singing Diwe songs. Which people also got a glimpse of the Parat dance of Sirmaur by the artists. Famous folk singer Bimla Chauhan won the applause of the people by singing the song Kullu Wali Shawl Lai De Pahari.
On this occasion, the stage artists presented the short drama Sahib Chaprasi and Ridkua Pashidua and gave the message to the people to stay away from drugs and also made the people laugh by telling humorous satires in the local language. Singhtu dance was the center of attraction for the people at the fair. While the artists gave the message of environmental protection by wearing masks of various wild animals, people enjoyed this dance to the fullest.
Padmashree Vidyanand Saraik in his address said that the culture of the state is the richest in the entire world, preserving which is the moral duty of every person. Expressing concern, he said that the way Pahari songs are being presented by remixing them is not appropriate and the originality of folk songs is on the verge of extinction.
On this occasion, Joginder Habbi, who has his name registered in the Word Book of Records and Asia Book of Records, said that his aim is to preserve and promote the rich culture of the state so that the coming young generation can be aware of their culture and civilization.
Fair Committee Head Atar Singh Thakur welcomed the people to the fair and threw light on the historical scenario of the fair. Former chief Dayaram Verma, Daulat Ram Mehta, Prakash Verma, Mohan Verma, Netra Singh Thakur, Chunni Lal Thakur, Surendra Sodi, Krishna Das Sharma, Ram Gopal Mehta, Jabar Singh Thakur, Suresh Sharma, Jayanand Sharma and other officials are present among the committee members. Before this, a procession was taken out by the local people to the tune of drums and Shehnai which passed through 22 Tika Dev Sthan Jubbad and ended at the temple of Thaud Mata.
Artists in charge of the Mahasuvi cultural group, Ramlal Verma, Gopal Habbi, Sandeep Kumar, Hansraj, Dinesh Kumar, Manmohan Singh, Bimla Chauhan, Saroj Kumari, Anuja, Aarti, Jyoti etc. participated in the fair.
