Panchayati Raj organizations should be included in drug relief campaign: Shukla

Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Shiv Pratap Shukla, arrived in Narkanda, a renowned tourist spot in Shimla District, for a one-day visit today. On August 25, 2024, at 10 am, the Governor is scheduled to visit the Hatu Mata Temple.

Sub-divisional Officer of Kumarsain, W. Sharma, welcomed the Governor and presented a souvenir from the Hatu Mata Temple.

During his visit, the Governor urged sub-division administration officials to take the drug relief campaign seriously and to involve Panchayati Raj organizations in this initiative. He emphasized that drugs have infiltrated remote rural areas, making it crucial to extend the campaign to the Panchayat level.

Governor Shukla also provided updates on the ongoing search operation in the area affected by the recent natural disaster near Rampur.

Accompanying the Governor were his secretary, C. P. Verma, and other officials from the sub-division administration.
