Only seven out of 70 students passed in Government College Kupvi, and teachers were not appointed in the entire session: Khanna
BJP state in-charge Avinash Rai Khanna said that the way the government is not paying attention to the quality of education in Himachal Pradesh is unfortunate, we have written a letter to the Governor and the Chief Minister regarding this.
He said that in Government College, Kupvi in Shimla district, only seven out of 70 students have passed the BA first-year examination. The poor result of 10 percent is not surprising as last year the college operated without a single teacher, leaving all 70 students dependent on their luck. Only seven students have passed the college while nine others have got a compartment. More than 50 students have failed.”
Unfortunately, the Parent-Teacher Association did not appoint teachers for the entire session, except for two private teachers for a short period. Students cannot be blamed for poor results. A precious year of so many students was wasted because the authorities could not appoint even a single regular teacher for the entire year. This is unfortunate, and saddening.
Who will be held responsible for this children’s year being wasted? The government should tell this. He said, “Many students have left the college due to the bitter experience last year. The enrollment numbers of the college support this claim. While the first batch of the college last year had 70 students, the combined number of BA first year and BA second year The number has dropped this year to only 63. The number of students in BA second year may further decline, with further decline following the disastrous results.
The Principal of Government College, Nerva Harbans Lal Sharma has the additional charge of Principal of Government College, Kupvi. Due to this, full attention cannot be given to college.
Although after this episode, three regular teachers were appointed, a total of 8 teachers are to be appointed. There is a demand from all the local children that the appointments should be complete and the appointments being made should never be kept vacant in the future.
