No relent from icy cold wave in Himachal
Himachal Pradesh is reeling under extreme cold wave condition, worsen further after inclement weather, partly cloudy sky and plummeting night temperature by couple of degrees in the state on today. The cold wind sweeping across state with party cloudy weather on Tuesday. Clouds are hovering over Shimla and nearby areas, Una and Sundernagar. Tourist resort Kufri and Keylong was mainly sunny, High reaches in Lahaul Spiti, Kinnaur, Shimla,ChambaKullu and Kangra are under grip of intense cold wave after recent heay and repeated spell of Snowfall. People are facing extreme winter condition as Mercury keep several degree below freezing point in minus moreover two hundreds road are affected in the state. Minimum temperature of Keylong (Lahaul-Spiti) minus 8 degree Celsius, Kalpa (Kinnuar) minus 0.4, Manali 2, Kufri 3, Dalhousie, Solan & Dalhousie 5, Shimla & Dharmshala 6, Hamirpur, Bilaspur and Mandi 7, Una & Chamba 8 Kangra and Nahan (Sirmaur)8 degrees.The Met Office forecast fresh snow and rain in many places in next 24 hrs in the mid and high reaches. Yellow alert for thunderstorm and lightning was issued for Mar 2 & 3 in isolated places.
