No Plan to create new districts in HP : CM

Himachal Pradesh Government rest the specuations over the formation of new district in the state as it has stated that no new district would be created by the government, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said replying to a nonverbal query in the state assembly on Tuesday. Through the joint query both the opposition members wanted to know in this query if new districts are being created in the state by the Jai Ram Government and how many new districts are being carved out from which district.  Replying to a written query of Congress member Asha Kumari and Opposition Leader Mukesh Agnihotri Chief Minister said that no proposal of reorganization of new district is before his government however various proposals were received from various sources to form new districts and no commission was constituted for the creation of  district. Currently Himachal Pradesh has 12 districts.
