No effect on medical services due to the closure of Krishna Lab: IGMC

Indira Gandhi Medical College Hospital administration claimed that no effect was noticed in the medical services after the closure of Krishna lab services in the IGMC today.

Senior Medical representative of IGMC Hospital Mr Rahul Rao said in a press statement that the Krishna Lab operating in Indira Gandhi College and Hospital suddenly stopped its testing services. 

The hospital administration was informed by the media in the morning that labs were not functioning for an indefinite period due to non-payment of lab dues by the state government. 

He said that no prior notice was given regarding the closure of services by Krishna Lab. 

The hospital administration, given the seriousness of the situation, called a high-level meeting in which the chairpersons of the Department of Pathology, Microbiology, and Biochemistry participated. 

 Given the problem caused by the sudden failure of Krishna Diagnostics in IGMC Hospital, instructions were given to all patients to be tested in the IGMC state lab and patients would not allowed to suffer due to the ongoing protest.

He said that the government took the services of  Krishna Diagnostics to maintain the workload smoothly so that there is no inconvenience to the general public.

He said that notice would be issued to officials of Krishna Lab if any inconvenience would caused to the patient due to their stopping of operation.

The diagnostic labs decided today to not open their services as payment of the labs hired by the IGMC couldn’t not disbursed.
