No clue about the missing Poland paraglider
A missing Polish paraglider from the Triund hills of Kangra district in the North Indian state of Himachal Pradesh has no clue so far. State administration informed here today.
Andrzej Kulawik(70) a Poland paraglider who has been missing since a flight on Monday could not traced yet.
A district administration spokesperson said that Pilot took off on Monday from Bir Billing Valley, (world famous for paragliding in Kangra) after this he went missing.
A rescue and search operation was launched with the help of a helicopter on Tuesday.
The search for the Polish pilot is still going on.
The Polish pilot took off from Billing and was heading towards Dharamshala. Meanwhile, the pilot went missing somewhere in the middle of the hills. According to eyewitnesses the pilot was last seen heading towards the Kareri hills. Since then the pilot’s location has not been known.
The rescue team has searched for the pilot in the hills of Dharamshala-McLeodganj and Triund.
The pilot was here to attend the Pre-Paragliding World Cup going to be held in Bir-Billing from 26th October.
For this, pilots are practicing by flying free flyer flights. More than 140 pilots are expected to participate in this competition.
