NDPS convict dies in judicial custody at IGMC
A convict sentenced in an NDPS case died on Tuesday at Indra Gandhi Medical College Hospital he was in judicial custody at Model Jail Kanda.
According to a confirmed source 40-year-old convict Uttam Chand son of Dhari Ram village Khalech Dr. Khabatal Tehsil Karsog district Mandi, was ailing for some time.
He was convicted in an NDPS case and undergoing sentence in the Narcotics Act case in Adarsh Central Jail Kanda, who was ill for a long time.
Uttam Chand was brought to Shimla ICMC for treatment a few days ago. He died during treatment at IGMC today.
The action taken by the investigating officer of police post-Jatogh has been implemented under Section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
The post-mortem of the body was conducted at the IGMC forensic unit on Wednesday under the supervision of the Deputy Chief District Magistrate and death was found natural.
