Nauni Varsity to hold sale of fruit plants from December 11, Sale at Bajaura to commence from December 2

The Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry (UHF), Nauni will hold its annual sale of planting material to the farmers from December 11 onwards. The sale will be strictly conducted on a first come-first serve basis at the university nurseries on the main campus at Nauni, Krishi Vigyan Kendras, and research stations of the university located in different parts of the state. This year, the total number of plants available for sale at the university and outstations is over 2.72 lakh. Various varieties of apple, kiwi, pomegranate, apricot, peach, nectarine, cherry, walnut, persimmon, pear, and plum will be provided to the farmers during this sale. The clonal rootstock of apples will also be available along with seedlings.

However, for the convenience of the farmers from Lahaul Spiti and Pangi, the plant sale from the Regional Horticultural Research and Training Station at Bajaura will commence on December 2.

The various Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVK) and Research Stations of the university located in different parts of the state will also be holding plant sales from December 11. These include the KVKs at Kandaghat (Solan), Sharbo (Kinnaur), Rohru (Shimla), Chamba, Tabo (Lahaul & Spiti), COH&F Neri and the Regional Horticulture Research and Training Stations at Mashobra.
