BJP State President Dr. Rajiv Bindal said that the natural disaster in Rampur and Ani area has caused immense damage. When we saw the horrific scene of Samej village, our grief knew no bounds. A lush green village which had 22 houses, all 22 houses were destroyed after 12:00 midnight by the stormy speed of water, stones, debris, big trees and all the houses. In panic, some people were able to save their lives by running here and there but 36 lives are still missing. But it seems that there is no possibility of their safety in the near future. Three girls who were going to play in the national volleyball team are missing. The village school, primary health center, community building, power house, all were destroyed. Such a horrific tragedy is beyond imagination.

Bindal said that on reaching Ganvi in ​​Rampur area, he found that thousands of tons of debris along with big trees fell into Ganvi ravine in the middle of the night and 6 concrete houses which were very beautifully built were completely washed away with the debris and no trace of them remained. Where these houses were built, there are now big rocks and it cannot even be imagined that there would have been houses here ever. It was a matter of luck that the siren was sounded repeatedly in Ganvi Power Project and all the people left their houses and ran to the hill and everyone’s life was saved. A family in which preparations for the daughter’s wedding were going on, there was an atmosphere of happiness, everything was destroyed in minutes due to this incident. All the goods bought for the wedding, gold, silver, clothes etc. all got washed away with the water.

When we reached Bagi via Nirmand, the scene of devastation there was also heart-wrenching. There too, wood, stones, mud, debris came in the same manner at midnight and 8 houses were razed to the ground and nothing was left. By the grace of God, there was no loss of life here as people got information through phone and people left their houses.

Thus the devastation that happened in Samej, Ganvi, Bagi, Kedas was caused by a cloud burst at one place on Shrikhand mountain. From there all the water flowed into different drains and because the water came from a very high altitude, its velocity was very fast due to which there was a lot of damage.
