Multi Crore extortion racket busted
With arrest of two Haryana police personnel Himachal Pradesh Police claimed busting of Multi crore extortion racket active in the Industrial area of state.
Spokesperson of state police said that further investigation revealed that arrested Police were joined racket on the behalf of some senior officer from Haryana.
He said that gang has extorted huge sum of money for the past several years from many industrialists by coercion.

SIT investigation has unraveled the linkages of the extortion by gang at every level and the involvement of an official from Haryana.
The industrialists of Himachal Pradesh who are victims of this gang may come forward to approach the DGP and the SIT, without fear, so that justice is done and financial damage caused can be taken care by legal action.
Both personnel of Haryana police Const. Ravinder posted in district Sonipat and Jail Warden Jasveer posted in Jagadhari Jail Yamunanagar have been arrested by SIT.
They have been remanded to 09 days police custody. Investigation is on to unravel complete gamut of extortion.
SIT urged victim of crime that any information may be shared in total confidence with the DGP-HP on his mobile 9818153766 or through personal visitations.
Special Investigating Team (SIT) headed by Rohit Malpani, IPS SP, Cyber Crime with Gaurav Singh, IPS SP-EOW, Virender Kalia, SP CID-Crime and other police officials was constituted to crack the case on Jan 06 as FIR has registered at Police station, CID, Bharari (Shimla) against the accused person namely Vinay Aggarwal.
Accused Aggarwal already arrested in the case, impersonating him as a fake IGP who used to extort huge money, by visiting industrial areas of Kala-Amb, Baddi, Nalagarh and other areas in HP in the past three years.
During the investigation by the SIT, it is revealed that accused Vinay Aggarwal and PSO’s of an officer of Haryana are just conduits, he added.
