Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri today laid the foundation stone of Rs 4.41 crore irrigation scheme Halin and Balandha for the village panchayat Lambathach and road of Saraj assembly constituency. He also laid the foundation stone for flood control work of Jwal Khadd and Bagsyad Nala, on which about 3.24 crore rupees will be spent. On this occasion, Mukesh Agnihotri said that the current state government is giving equal development of all sectors a top priority. He said the Halin and Balanda plans in one and a half year while flood control work will be completed in the next year. About 144 crore rupees are currently being spent through the Thunag Mandal of Water Power Department in Saraj Assembly constituency. 16 payajal schemes worth 57 crore 59 lakh rupees and 10 irrigation schemes worth around 59 crore 33 lakh rupees are going on in the region. In addition to this, 15.11 crore rupees are being spent on flood control works under NABARD and SDMF. About 12.30 crore rupees are being spent on sewage schemes in Janjahli and Thunag, he said. It is also being spent 11.18 crore rupees on two drinking schemes in Karsog area under additional Thunag Mandal. He said about 34 thousand taps have been installed in Saraj area under Water Life Mission.

Deputy Chief Minister said the current state government is working towards balanced development of all sectors without any discrimination. He said that today the leaders have come to the opposition’s home area and the speed of development works will not be allowed to decrease here too. He said that in the previous term, the leaders remained opposition and took a pledge to rule the BJP government at that time and fulfilled it. This is the quality of our democracy. In the Lok Sabha elections, the slogan of crossing 400 has been shrinked to 240 He said political opposition should be limited to policies and ideology, the current state government is working with this thinking. He said that mutual brotherhood and goodwill should prevail among all the people living in the state. Mentioning the recent incidents, he said that he will act while staying in the realm of law.

He said the state government working with the aim of change of system has decided to complete computerization of the cooperative department. This will stop the rigging in the cooperative sector. He said Himachal has been the father of cooperative movement and here cooperative committees are doing excellent work in banking, weaving, dairy production, transportation, education and other sectors. The state government is promoting cooperative activities at every level. On this occasion, former President of Milk Federation and Secretary General of State Congress Committee Chetram Thakur welcomed the Deputy Chief Minister and expressed his gratitude for the foundation stone of these development works. They also informed them of various demands in the area. Congress Intellectual Cell President Vijay Pal Singh also addressed the public meeting.
