Experts and psychiatrists believe that most of the people who commit suicide are those who remain silent i.e. who do not share their problems with anyone. It is necessary that such people should be identified and their problems should be heard, said Khumesh Patil, founder of Baat Karo. He is on an awareness campaign on foot for spreading awareness under his Stop Suicide Campaign across the country by walking 5000 kms under his startup Baat Karoge. According to a study, the number of suicides in India is five times the total murders.
Experts believe that the more a person shares his things with each other, the less depression will be there. This can prevent suicide to a great extent.
Baat Karo aims to educate people about suicide risks, raise awareness and promote suicide prevention activities.
Patil said that the stage of commitment from suicide initiation is very delicate, when a person is going through such a phase, then if someone listens to him or understands his intention, then suicide can be prevented, this is exactly why 90 percent of people who attempt suicide, in fact they do not want to die, as the become a victim of depression, so they take such steps.
