MLA demands CBI investigation against Executive Engineer of Jal Shakti Division Baggi for corruption

Serious allegations of corruption have been leveled against the Executive Engineer of Jal Shakti Division. According to the allegations leveled by the contractor, the XEN got the decoration work done in his office for Rs. 35 lakh and paid for it while the payment of other contractors is pending for two years. The XEN gave about 50 tenders each to two favorite contractors in just 11 months. The division formed in 1984 was running without a generator but as soon as Sukhu government came, a generator worth Rs. 18 lakh was purchased for Rs. 32 lakh without any contract rate in which Rs. 3.5 lakh was spent extra on fitting. Whereas in every contract, the cost of fitting is added along with generator fitting. Apart from this, tool kits were purchased at four times the price. Apart from this, good pipes were replaced by declaring them as bad pipes. When Indra Singh Gandhi brought this matter to the notice of the Water Power Minister, the minister assured to transfer the XEN, but Gandhi said that transfer in a case of corruption is not logical and appropriate action should be taken by investigating this matter. Therefore, this matter should be investigated by the CBI.
