Minister gives statement on Kinnuar mishap
Himachal Pradesh Govt informed in the state assembly that 13 people have been died and each other have been rescued at Negalsari in Kinnuar district and rescue operation is being looking after by the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur along with Transport Minister Vikram Thakur, Member of Assembly Jagat Singh Negi, Mukesh Agnihotri, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and others.
Parliamentary affairs minister Suresh Bhardwaj gave a statement about the Kinnuar mishap stating that this is the second mishap in last few days in the Kinnuar district.
He said that rescue helicopters of Indian Armies could not land at Kinnuar due to bad weather.
Mr Bhardwaj said that Prime Minister, Home Minister and Union Information Minister Anurag Thakur and BJP president
Jagat Prakash Nadda condoled the deaths in the mishap.
He said that 11 persons who are out of danger were hospitalized at Bhavnagar Hospital while two are reported critical.
The Minister said that two vehicles could not be traced sofar and it is being feared that some of them have been washed away in Satluj river.
Minister said that the incident spot was considered the stone shooting prone and people often stopped there to see the spot
but the vehicles did not stop yesterday before the mishap.
Congress member Asha Kumari said that the rescue operation would last till last person would not be rescued as one could be
trapped alive in side the heavy rock .Congress member said that most of people died in the state belonged to the state.
CPI(M) member Rakesh Singha said that there should be equipment along the shooting stone prone area to start the rescue operation and warned the people about possible threat of caving in of hills and shooting stones.
