Mercury stays above 6 to 7 degrees above normal in Himachal

Alarmingly Mercury went up six to seven degrees above normal in Himachal Pradesh in the day today as it was mainly dry in the state. Keylong, Headquarter of Lahaul-Spiti district was 0.9 degrees which was nearly seven degree above normal. Similarly Day temperature went upto 17.2 degrees in Shimla & six degrees above normal. Maximum temperature of  Kalpa 3.2,  Dharamshala 23 Una 24.4, Nahan (Sirmaur) 21, Solan 24, Manali 13.8, Kangra 23, Mandi 21,Bilaspur 25, Hamirpur 22, Chamba 20, Dalhousie 15, Kufri 11, Narakanda 7 & Kasauli 19.3 respectively. According to Agriculture experts rise of maximum temperature above 15 degrees would disturb the dormancy in high chilling fruit trees and breaking of dormancy msy impact the quality and fruit production in the upcoming season.
