Menstruation in women is a natural process : Dr. Manoj

Menstruation is a natural process in women. The way women are treated during menstruation in rural areas is not logical. Dr. Manoj Kumar, the doctor in charge of Civil Hospital Junga, gave this during the awareness camp organized by the Health Department in Junga. She said that in the past, women were prohibited from entering the house when they were menstruating and were forced to live in cowsheds. People need to be aware of these sisters.
Dr. Manoj said that in our religious scriptures, a woman has been described as a goddess. According to religious Vedas, women are advised to rest for three days during menstruation because during menstruation, there is a lot of bleeding in women, that is, about 500 ml of blood is released in three days, which causes weakness in the body of women. It is for this purpose that the Vedas are advised to take rest during menstruation. In the present context, especially in rural settings, women are not allowed to cook food or touch anything at home during menstruation. These rules remain in force for about 4 days. During this period, women have to sleep in separate rooms.
She urged the people coming to the office that women should not be treated like untouchability during menstruation but menstruation does not make a woman impure. This is a natural process under which any girl after 10 years of age can get menstruation. It is very important to maintain cleanliness during this period. To give information about this to daughters, special camps are organized by the department in educational institutions. He told that due to changes in hormones in women’s body, there is bleeding from the uterus.
