Manali-Delhi National Highway closed due to a sudden landslide
The Manali-Delhi National Highway has been closed at 10 pm due to a sudden landslide. According to the information, this big landslide happened near Saat Mill between Mandi and Pandoh. Due to which a lot of debris and rocks have fallen on the National Highway. The mountains are being cut to make this highway four-lane, due to which landslides have happened while breaking the mountains. According to the same police, due to this landslide at night, this road will be opened for traffic in the morning. Arrangements have been made for small vehicles to reach Bajaura from Mandi’s Bhiuli Chowk via Kataula Road. On the other hand, the people going from Chandigarh to Delhi have been requested to leave Nerchowk via Pandoh. The same when Mandi’s ASP Sagar Chandra said that there is a risk due to darkness and stones coming. At the same time, the work of cleaning the road is going on, but if more debris comes from the mountain, then we may have to wait for the morning. Till then, arrangements have been made for small vehicles and emergency vehicles to leave from the additional road. While big vehicles will be able to travel further only after being cleaned. I
