Maharashtra Tourist die during paragliding in Kullu
3Tourist hailed to Pune of Maharashtra died during a paragliding mishap occur at Dhobi in Kullu district, deceased accompanied with four others friends were at Manali when this incident occurred today. SHO Kullu Rajeev Lakhanpal told UNI that the deceased Suraj (30) is a resident of Pune Maharashtra was along a pilot took off from the Phaline paragliding site, but the glider crashed after going a short distance. Due to which he died there. The dead body is being taken to Kullu. His family has been informed. Suraj had come to visit Kullu-Manali in five member group. All the friends are in shock after the accident. The glider crashed shortly after take off. The dead body of the tourist was found in the apple orchard. The pilot Shalu stated the police after mishap that Suraj fell down due to suddenly opening of safety belt . According to the pilot, despite warning by the pilot, victim tourist hand was going time and again on safety belt due to which the belt came loose. Despite this, pilot hold the deceased tourist for a long distance with the help of his hands but due to the heavy weight he lost the grip of tourist and unfortunately could not be saved from falling.
