Littering and unchecked construction, CM Sukhu making surprise visits
In informal attire, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is making surprise casual visits to public places and taking exceptions for the hygiene and cleanliness of this capital town.
Recently on many occasions in the early morning hours, he turned upon the Mall Road and other places of town.
Local residents during morning walks found him in casual dress in the town.
In front of the fire station near the Town hall, he found some blood-soaked bandages disposed of on the Mall road.
According to the Fire personnel chief minister directed them to remain vigilant about such acts of littering the vicinity.
Normally Mall Road remains clean and well-maintained but some monkeys or dogs might have carried the blood-soaked disposed bandage just in front of the fire station.
Mr Sukhu also directed the sanitary inspector and garbage collector to ensure the collection of garbage in the Evening hours too. He also directed MC officials to keep watch on the round-the-clock construction activities. He instructed on the spot that it should not be allowed in the town however it was shocking in the heart of town.
He himself witnessed a violation of construction norms as some showroom or others was busy making interior changes in a showroom in the early hours.
CM also took exceptions to the way the enforcement agency allowed construction round the clock and in the open at the core of town in open how it was being permitted. MC rule doesn’t permit anyone to breach the timing of construction.
During the day the showroom reportedly reportedly continued construction by putting down the shutte.
It is worthwhile to mention here that On Monday the parking lot of a Fire tender on the Mall road also changed to CTO. Earlier parking of fire tender in front of Town hall block the clear view of Britisher era building.
