Lions club offering dailysis treatment to 250 patients

New Shimla Loins Bhawan is offering subsidised dailysis treatment to around 250 patients per month,  Secretary of Lions club Shimla Manmohan Verma told us. He said that Free treatment is being extended to the patient  having Ayushman and Bima cards and Rs 2300 is being charged for the dailysis to a  normal patient. He said that daily eight to nine patients are turning up in the unit to get the treatment. This is only such dailysis unit in town beside the IGMC Hospital also offers subsidised treatment. The dailysis facilities is saving life of patients as most of patients came here in chronic conditions.Mr Verma said that thus unit was set up during the Covid pandemic two years ago as patients have to rush PGI Chandigarh for dailysis. The dailysis unit is among number of health services being rendered by the Lions club to People. The Lions club served the society by contribution of its members. We could not hold free health camp during Covid therefore member decided to go for dailysis unit. Doctor Uday Ran Singh told us that patients are turning up from all over states in large number and they are being provided dailysis in various shift. He said that patients need not to take any medical equipment or thing from market as entire dailysis kits including fluids are being provided in the unit. There are Dailysis facility in DDU and IGMC Hospital in the town. Mr Verma said unit is hassle free facility to poor section of society and it is not crowded at all. He said that they want to serve needy people from all over the state in this facility.
