Kisan Sabha against Agneepath scheme lousy joke with unemployed youth will weaken the army- Dr Tanwar

Agneepath is playing with the security of the country and betraying the youth, believes Dr. Kuldeep Singh Tanwar, State President of Himachal Kisan Sabha. Dr. Tanwar has said that the NDA government at the Center is doing double betrayal to the youth of the country. On one hand, youths who have passed the entire process of army recruitment are being cheated by not giving them recruitment and on the other hand they are being played with the future of other unemployed youth of the country by bringing army recruitment scheme like Agneepath. The President of Kisan Sabha said that Agneepath scheme is also fatal for our security. In today’s era where the army is being modernized, how can soldiers be trained within just four years. And even if they take training, by then they will be shown the way out of the army. Dr. Tanwar said that the subject to consider is that after leaving the job, whom will these youths do? The intention became clear from the statement of BJP leader Vijayvargiya and other BJP leaders that on coming out of the army, these youth would either guard the other offices of the Sangh like BJP office or would protect them by working with the capitalists and demand their rights. Those who do will work to suppress the struggle of the workers. Dr. Tanwar believes that the central government is now taking revenge on the children of farmers, after being defeated by the farmers’ movement. Supporting the Kisan Sabha against this decision, he warned that if the decision was not taken back, the agitation would intensify across the country.

On the call of All India Kisan Sabha, Himachal Kisan Sabha and trade unions demanded immediate withdrawal of the scheme in protest against Agneepath scheme at Shimla’s Deputy Commissioner’s office.

District President of Kisan Sabha Satyavan Pundir said that the Central Government issues such decrees to divert and entangle the people of the country from the main issues and problems. He said that this decision of the Central Government is contracting the army from Chor Darwaza. He demanded from the central government to stop this gimmick and give permanent employment to the youth.

Sanyukta Kisan Morcha member Sanjay Chauhan informed that Samyukta Kisan Morcha has decided to celebrate 24th June as National Protest Day, the day of recruitment of this scheme.

Along with the Kisan Sabha, trade unions also took part in the demonstration.
