Kaul Singh Thakur asked leaders of Congress to work unitedly for the victory of candidates in MC elections
Chairman of Municipal Corporation Shimla Election Coordination Committee Kaul Singh Thakur has asked all the leaders of the party to work unitedly and work in full harmony for the victory of all the candidates of the party. He has said that Shimla Municipal Corporation elections are very important for the party.
While presiding over the meeting of the Election Coordination Committee at State Congress Headquarters Rajiv Bhawan today, Kaul Singh Thakur said that after the assembly elections, this election is the second test of the Congress in which the Congress has to succeed. He said that whatever responsibility has been given to him, he has to fulfill it with full devotion and honesty.
Kaul Singh has asked all the committees formed for the Shimla Municipal Corporation elections to work in coordination and with full efficiency.
State Congress President Pratibha Singh, Kaul Singh Thakur, Rohit Thakur, Sudhir Sharma, Asha Kumari, Kuldeep Kumar, Ramlal Thakur and Kishori Lal were present in the meeting.
The Election Coordination Committee congratulated State Congress President MP Pratibha Singh on completion of one year in office today and said that under her leadership, Congress has got a resounding victory in the assembly elections in the state. He said that now under his able leadership, Congress will get a resounding victory in the municipal elections as well and the mayor and deputy mayor will be from Congress only.
Senior Congress leader former minister Kaul Singh Thakur has claimed that Congress will have a resounding victory in the Shimla Municipal Corporation elections. He said that the Congress manifesto is the commitment of the party to solve the problems of Shimla city and people, which it will fulfill at any cost.
Addressing a press conference at Rajeev Bhawan, Kaul Singh Thakur said that the former BJP government has brought the state to the doorstep of poverty, yet the Congress will fulfill all its guarantees. He said that the Sukhu government has inherited a debt of 75 thousand crores and liabilities of 1100 crores on the state, but the pace of its development will not be allowed to slow down. He said that Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has started efforts to bring the state’s economy back on track.
Kaul Singh Thakur said that today in the meeting of the Municipal Corporation Election Coordination Committee, full discussion was held with the members of the committee on the election strategy of the party. He said that the committee has decided that the review meeting of the coordination committee will be held twice a day after taking daily reports from all booths of the Municipal Corporation.
Kaul Singh Thakur accused the BJP that they did not properly utilize the Smart City funds during their tenure. He said that BJP could not spend even the money of JNURM, a big project received during the Congress government. He said that now she is trying to mislead the people in these elections by making false promises in which she will never succeed.
