Joint team rescue injured trekker at Khimloga pass :DC
A 35-member team of Himachal Police, Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force and Home Guard personnel has left for Khimloga Pass this morning rescued a injured trapped tracker and porter in Khimloga Pass.Deputy Commissioner Kinnaur Abid Hussain Sadiq told UNI that rescue and relief team sent from Chitkul have reached Khimloga Pass and started rescue operation. According to the information received, the injured trekker has been safely evacuated. And the body of the deceased trekker has also been recovered.Team likely to return from Khimloga pass on September 5. Deputy commissioner informed that rescue team was deployed this morning on the basis of an information received last evening that on August 28, 2022. Three trekkers and 6 porters left for Chitkul in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh from Uttarkashi in Uttarakhand. Out of which one trekker 50-year-old Narottam Ram and three porters reached Chitkul last evening. Trekker and Portero said that one of the trekkers, Sujoy Dule, who was accompanying them, died on the spot after crossing the Khimloga Pass, while the other trekker, 49-year-old Subroto Biswas, was injured during this time. Sadiq said that all the three trekkers are from West Bengal, while the porters Kalyan Singh, Nain Singh, Devraj, Pradeep, Jayendra Singh are from Lewari village of Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand and Devram from Jamel village of Uttarkashi in Uttarakhand, he added
