Jhandi Aastha to show her talent in the national level wrestling competition
13-year-old girl Aastha from village Jhandi of Gram Panchayat Satlai of Junga tehsil will show her talent by representing Himachal in the Under 15 national level wrestling competition. Earlier, Aastha has brought glory to her parents and the region by winning the gold medal in 42 kg weight in the state-level under-15 wrestling competition held in Sundernagar on March 17 and Nalagarh on March 24.
Let us tell you that for the last two months, Aastha has been receiving training from Bilaspur’s Thakur Wrestling Academy, Chandpur. Aastha has taken admission in this academy in class 8th. During these two months, this girl has shown her talent in the state level under 15 wrestling competition in the weight of 42 kg. Aastha will now participate in the national level under-15 wrestling competition to be held in Noida, Uttar Pradesh from 28th to 30th March. There is an atmosphere of happiness in the entire area due to Aastha’s selection in the national level competition. The most important thing is that she is the first girl from Junga tehsil to reach the national level, especially in wrestling.
Aastha has given the credit of her success to physical teacher Sukhdev Rana and coach Vivek Thakur of Government High School, Bhadech, besides her father Ramprakash and mother Monica, with whose guidance and blessings she has reached this position today. Aastha’s father belongs to a farming family. PET Sukhdev Rana, coach told that Aastha has passed seventh class from Bhadech School and during this time the girl had participated enthusiastically in school level wrestling competitions. Seeing the girl’s interest in wrestling, under the guidance of her father Ram Prakash, she has been sent to Thakur Wrestling Academy, Chandpur Bilaspur for education. Aastha told that her dream is to participate in international level wrestling competition.
