Jairam Thakur said on this occasion that amazing enthusiasm was seen in the Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra. Youth, elderly, women participated enthusiastically in this Tiranga Yatra, today on Independence Day also PM Narendra Modi mentioned this campaign.
He said that PM Modi told in his 11th Independence Day speech that before independence, every period of slavery of hundreds of years was a period of struggle. Even before the freedom struggle of 1857, there were many tribal areas where the war of independence was fought. 40 crore countrymen showed that passion, showed their strength, kept moving forward with one dream and resolution – of India’s independence. We have their blood in our veins. 40 crore people had broken the chains of slavery, uprooted the world’s superpower. If 40 crore people can break the shackles of slavery, can fulfill the dream of independence, then if 140 crore of my family members take a resolution and set a direction and move forward, then no matter how many challenges there are, even if there is a need to struggle for resources, we can overcome every challenge and make India prosperous, we can achieve the goal of developed India by 2047.
Jairam said that the Supreme Court of the country is also asking us for a Uniform Civil Code and this was also the dream of the constitution makers of the country. There can be no place in the country for laws that divide the country on the basis of religion and cause discrimination. We have spent 75 years in a communal civil code, now we have to move towards a secular civil code.
