Jairam got Rana’s entry into BJP to humiliate Dhumal family: Congress
Himachal Pradesh Congress Working President and MLA Chandrashekhar has said that former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur has got Rajendra Rana’s entry in BJP to humiliate the Dhumal family.
He said that in the 2017 assembly elections, Rajendra Rana contested on the Congress symbol and defeated BJP’s Chief Ministerial candidate Prem Kumar Dhumal.
Despite Bharatiya Janata Party having majority in the elections, Dhumal missed out on getting the post of Chief Minister.
‘Accidental Chief Minister’ Jairam Thakur did not go to meet Dhumal even once after assuming the post, but now before the by-election, Jairam Thakur has remembered the Dhumal family.
He said that the people of Hamirpur district have still not forgotten the ill-treatment meted out to Dhumal and his family during the tenure of the previous BJP government.
While holding the post of Chief Minister, Jairam Thakur did not do any work of Prem Kumar Dhumal and gave priority to the work of Rajendra Rana.
Not only this, Rajendra Rana’s entry into BJP happened despite the opposition of the Dhumal family. He said that the relations between Rajendra Rana and Dhumal family are in front of the public, but despite this, Jairam Thakur has hurt the self-respect of Dhumal family and insulted them.
Chandrashekhar said that in the last six years, Jairam Thakur did not visit the house of former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal even once to know his condition.
Now that his opponent Rajendra Rana has joined BJP, Jairam Thakur’s love for Dhumal has suddenly awakened. Working President of State Congress said that Rajendra Rana insulted Prem Kumar Dhumal at every step in the last 11 years after leaving BJP.
Although Rana calls Dhumal his political guru, it is also true that the disciple himself was engaged in cutting the roots of the guru. He said that now after joining BJP, under what compulsion is Rajendra Rana roaming around Sameerpur.
Chandrashekhar said that the people of Hamirpur are intelligent and are not going to fall under the influence of Rajendra Rana again and again. The real face of Rajendra Rana is in front of the voters because by joining BJP he has shown opportunistic politics.
The people of Sujanpur will give a befitting reply to the politics of Aaya Ram-Gaya Ram and their defeat in the by-election is certain.
He said that the Congress party will make a clean sweep in the by-elections on six seats and will hoist the flag of victory. He said that BJP’s money power politics will end in the state through people power.
