Jairam developed only Siraj and discriminated against Mandi

Sports Minister Yadvinder Goma has said that while being the Chief Minister, Jai Ram Thakur discriminated against the entire Mandi district except the Seraj assembly constituency. He said that Jai Ram Thakur was not the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh but only of Siraj.

He said that Jai Ram Thakur, who talked about building a world-class airport in Balh, could not do any work on the ground. Jai Ram, who described the airport as his dream project, could not even start the land acquisition process after completing his five-year tenure. He said that not even a single foot of code came from the Center for the airport nor was any work done on the ground.

Goma said that the Bharatiya Janata Party always does politics of regionalism, casteism, and religion, whereas the agenda of the Congress Party is development. He said that the present state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu was ensuring the development of the entire state and would also complete the dream projects of Jai Ram Thakur. He said that during the tenure of the previous BJP government, public money was misused and the government spent money on its luxuries, which worsened the economic condition of the state.

He said that the present government took steps to improve the poor financial condition of the state, due to which the economy of the state improved by 20 percent, and in a single year the state government earned an additional revenue of Rs 2200 crore. He said that the present state government has set a target of making Himachal Pradesh self-reliant by the year 2027 and the most prosperous state of the country by the year 2032.
