Is BJP against or in favor of the Old Pension Scheme asks Naresh Chauhan
State Vice President of Congress Party Naresh Chauhan has asked four questions while raising questions on the changing tone of former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur in the election season. Chauhan said that the former Chief Minister is making absurd statements among the public. He should clarify his position on every issue.
Naresh Chauhan, while questioning Jairam Thakur, has asked him to tell the public whether BJP is against or in favor of the Old Pension Scheme. Also tell whether the employees of the state are getting the benefit of OPS due to the decision of the Congress government to provide OPS or not. When Jai Ram Thakur was in power, he lathi-charged the employees demanding OPS and did not give them time to meet. At that time it was said in the House that if you want OPS, you should leave your job and contest elections, you would get pension. Now when Congress party has decided to give OPS to the employees, then at the time of elections, Jairam is making false statements that OPS will not be stopped if BJP government is formed. Jairam should also tell whether this decision is of the national leadership of BJP or whether the former Chief Minister is making election slogans at his level.
Naresh Chauhan, while asking the second question to the former Chief Minister, said that Jairam Thakur should tell the public that he is anti-women. Why did he go to the Election Commission with his team to stop Mahila Samman Nidhi? Is he not in favor of the women of the state getting Rs 1500 per month and Rs 18000 per year? Mahila Samman Nidhi Yojana has been implemented by the Congress government fulfilling the guarantee of its manifesto and women of Lahaul Spiti district of the state have started getting Samman Nidhi. Along with this, the government has decided to implement it in the entire state. In which 5 lakh women of the state will get Rs 18 thousand every year. Anti-women Jairam Thakur went to the Election Commission to stop this scheme. Now answer whether he is anti-women or not.
Congress State Vice President asked the third question to the former Chief Minister that he should tell the public how much he has helped in providing relief to the people during the huge disaster in the state. When the Congress government presented a proposal in the Assembly to declare the disaster in the state as a national disaster to help the disaster affected people in the state, Jairam Thakur supported it. He remained in the House along with his MLAs but did not support the motion to declare a national disaster. Jairam Thakur should answer this in front of the public. By declaring a national disaster, the state would get a relief package as per the national norms and help the disaster affected people of the state. But the former Chief Minister opposed it and also failed to get relief from the BJP government at the Centre.
Naresh Chauhan asked the fourth question to former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur and asked him to answer whether he has faith in democracy or not. They are trying to steal and topple the elected Congress government of the state with the help of money power. Which proves that BJP does not have faith in democracy and wants to satisfy its hunger for power with the help of money power.
Naresh Chauhan said that former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur should answer these questions among the public and
