Intentions of the Govt should not be misunderstood regarding the Annual Period Based Guest Faculty plan: Naresh Chauhan

Addressing the concerns regarding the ‘Annual Period Based Guest Faculty’ being proposed by the government, Chief Minister’s Principal Advisor (Media) Naresh Chauhan stated that the intention of the Government should not be misunderstood, as the Guest faculty is an arrangement to take services of meritorious youth in the schools, where the vacant posts were likely to be filled soon or the teachers have proceeded on a long leave, or have been transferred. The arrangements have been made so that the studies of the children may not suffer during the leave period or the vacancy in a particular school, he remarked.

He was talking to media persons here today.

He appealed to the youth not to misunderstand the narrative of the government. Even in Universities and colleges, there has been a provision for hiring guest faculty stated Sh. Chauhan. The guest faculty is a stop-gap arrangement so that the studies of the children studying in schools may not be hindered and they may not face any inconvenience when a teacher is either transferred or there is a shortage of teachers, stated the media advisor.

He further clarified that it was not any kind of recruitment or regular posting by the Government. It is not a permanent posting but hiring guest faculties to teach the students on a ‘period payment’ basis. We want the children not to suffer, that is the motive for taking the services of meritorious youth who can be guest faculty as well.

He said that the government has launched the ‘Sarkar Gaon Ke Dwar” program to reach out to the people residing in rural regions of the state and to make them understand the benefits of the schemes and programs of State governments and enable them to derive maximum benefits out of these welfare schemes.

Sh. Chauhan said that even the Ministers and the MLAs will participate in the ‘Gram Sabhas listen to the grievances of the people and address their grievances at their very door step.

The schedule of their participation will be soon released, he said, adding that this would be a simple affair and not with pomp and show spending huge sums on such functions as was the practice during the BJP regime where the Jan Manch was like a White Elephant, wherein huge amount was spent on Lunch and decorations. The officers used to be rebuked in front of the people, and used to be embarrassed for political gain. It will be not like Jan Manch but a simple affair where MLAs and Ministers will attend Special Gram Sabhas to solve the problems of the people.
