BJP State President Dr. Rajiv Bindal said that the incidents of disaster caused by cloudburst in Himachal Pradesh in the last two days are very sad. Since 8 am yesterday, BJP leaders and workers reached the disaster-affected areas and started relief and rescue operations. Traffic was disrupted due to cloudburst in Rajpura village of Padhar area of Mandi district. BJP MLA Puran Chand Thakur immediately reached the spot on foot with his team and remained there continuously engaged in relief work. So far 2 bodies have been recovered here, relief work is going on for the remaining 8 people.
Former minister Govind Thakur along with his team reached from Manali to Kullu, Bhuntar, Manikaran and Malana. Banjar MLA Surendra Shourie was also present with him. While talking to the administration in relief and rescue operations, he contacted 4 workers trapped in the power project of Malana and informed the administration, state government and central government about them and met the people in Malana. Everyone is still present in the area.
Ani MLA Lokendra Kumar was the first to reach the spot of Bagipul where 8 houses were completely destroyed and 7 people are missing due to the cloudburst disaster. Later, Lokendra Kumar and his team reached Kedas village where 5 houses were washed away and then Samej village where 36 people are missing.
BJP leader Kaul Negi along with his team was the first leader to reach Samej village where the maximum loss of life and property took place. Where 36 people are missing and relief and rescue operations are going on.
Dr Bindal said that today all the BJP leaders of the entire state will actively cooperate in the relief work at their respective places. He said that I myself will reach Samej village by this afternoon via Rampur with a big team and will also visit the remaining affected areas of Ani assembly constituency so that a plan can be made on how to help as per the situation on the spot. State General Secretary Bihari Lal Sharma, MLA and State Spokesperson Balveer Verma, Ani MLA Lokendra Kumar, Karsog MLA Deepraj, Kauli Negi, Ajay Shyam etc. will be in this team.
Dr. Bindal said that the workers from Mandi will cooperate in Padhar and the workers from Kullu district will cooperate in Manikaran valley.
