IMD forecast rain or snowfall in next 24 hrs
Indian Meteorological Department forecast another spell of rain and snowfall in the next 24 hrs and onwards however people took respite from the extreme cold wave as Mercury improvised by the couple of degrees in the state.
”A fresh Western disturbances likely to affect the North Western Himalaya Region(NWHR) from December 22 onwards. In quick succession another WDs likely to affect NWHR from December24 onward” IMD spokesperson said here today forecasting another spell of rain or snowfall.
The Met Office forecast rain or snowfall at isolated places in the mid and high reaches and mainly dry weather in the foot hills on Dec 22, 23 and 24.

Minimum temperature of Keylong was coldest minus 6.3 degrees that of minus 10.2 degrees of yesterday and one degrees above normal. Kalpa in Kinnuar minus 1.6 degrees, Tourist resort Manali and Kufri at 08 degrees and 1.4 degrees.
Solan was low at zero degrees, and three degrees below normal, Sundernagar 1.8 degrees, Mandi 2.2 degrees, Bhuntar in Kullu 2.3 degrees, Dharmshalla in Kangra 3.4 degrees, Palampur 3.5 degrees and Dalhousie in Chamba 3.6 degrees.
Hamirpur 3.8 degrees, Ponta-Sahib 3.9 degrees, Bilaspur and Chamba four degrees each, Una 4.7 degrees, Jubbarhatti, five degrees, Kangra 5.2 degrees, Shimla 5.4 degrees and Nahan in Sirmaur 7.9 degrees respectively. The Maximum temperature remained unchanged as the day was chilly in the afternoon.
No weather warning is issued during the inclement weather conditions however it would also give respite from moderate to dense fog condition in next 24 hr
