Illegal fee hike by 50 PC : Dept takes cognizance of removal of students by a school from online classes
On the complaint of charging illegal fee hike of 50 percent and removal of students form online classes by Dayanand Public School Shimla during Covid crisis education department took cognizance on the matter
A letter issued to Deputy Commissioner Shimla on Jun 26, Director of higher education said that no students should be deprived of online education during the emergent situation due to Covid pandemic. The officer also seek action into the matter deeply considering the issues and sorting out it with help o Parent, Teacher and School Management as prescribed by the state Government.
The Director said that if concerned school did not sorted out the complaints or removal of any students the strict action should be taken and the matter should be brought in the notice of Department for non compliance of its order, the Director said.
A copy of the letter also be forwarded to Principal Dayanad Public School Shimla directing to not deprived any students from online classes unless the issue of school fee could not be sorted out.
The convener of Student Parent Munch (SPM) Mr Vijendra Mehra hailed the order stating that it is victory of SPM which is trying to oppose the monopoly of private School to hike the fee and seeking concrete law to stop the exploitation of parents and students by the private school.
