I stand with every decision of the government in the interest of the state: Pratibha Singh
State Congress President and former MP Pratibha Singh expressed happiness over the spectacular victory of Congress on two seats in three assembly by-elections and thanked the voters of Dehra and Nalagarh. She said that Congress is grateful to the people for the trust they have shown in the Congress government in these by-elections. She called upon the workers not to be discouraged in any way on the party’s defeat in Hamirpur and said that the party will thoroughly deliberate on the reasons for the defeat and wherever any shortcomings remain, they will be removed.
Pratibha Singh expressed her gratitude to the party workers and said that due to their tireless efforts, Congress is standing strong in the state. Criticizing the BJP, she said that the BJP is completely responsible for all the assembly by-elections held in the state.
Pratibha Singh has said that the Congress government in the state is completely strong and now any conspiracy of the BJP to destabilize the government will not succeed. The crushing defeat of the BJP in the by-elections has made it clear that the people of the state are standing with the Congress.
Pratibha Singh, while congratulating both the newly elected Congress MLAs on their victory, said that they will have to live up to the trust that the people of the area have expressed in them at every level.
Pratibha Singh has said that the previous BJP government is completely responsible for the current financial condition of the state. She said that the Congress government in the state has inherited a debt of more than 70 thousand crores and liabilities of more than 12 thousand crores. Bringing the economy of the state back on track is a big challenge for the government.
Pratibha Singh said that the state has suffered huge losses due to the disaster last year. The BJP government at the center did not provide any special financial help to the state, despite this the state government completed the reconstruction work in the state by providing all possible help to the affected families with its limited resources. During this time the BJP leaders of the state did not provide any support to the state government to deal with this disaster.
On the government’s decision to stop 125 units of free electricity for the rich, Pratibha Singh said that the government has rationalized it and continued this scheme for poor families. She said that the benefits of this scheme should actually go to poor and deserving families. She took a dig at the BJP and said that it only bakes political breads and in reality, it is neither concerned about the people of the state nor the state’s welfare.
