HP declares three days state mourning on demise of Virbhadra Singh, mortal remains kept at Holilodge

Himachal Pradesh Government today declared three day state mourning on the demise of Virbhadra Singh who died at IGMC hospital here today after prolonged illness.
The mortal remains of Mr Singh brought to his residence at Holilodge from IGMC Shimla in a vehicle and kept for public display for paying last tribute. Issueing a cremation program, family spokesperson of Mr Singh  Mr Yashwant Chhajta informed that  last remains brought to Holly lodge Jakhu Shimla at 0730 hrs where public could pay tribute to him for whole day today.
The last remains of former chief minister would be at Ridge ground for public tribute from 0900 hrs to 1130hrs on July 9 and at Rajiv Bhawan (Congress party Office) Cart road Shimla from 1140 to 1300 hrs.
The body of Mr Singh to be departure to Rampur from Shimla at 1300hrs and arrive at Rampur at 1800hrs on July 9.
It would be kept for public tribute at Paddam Palace Rampur from 0800 hrs to 1400 hrs on July 10. The funeral would held at Rampur on 1500 hrs on July 10, he added.

State administeration announced three days public mourning on the demise of six time chief minister, five time Member of Parliament and nine times member of Assembly who died after three months long illness suffering Covid infection twice and other illness.

A government spokesperson informed that the state government has declared state mourning for three days w.e.f from 8 July to 10 July2021 as a mark of respect to Sh Virbhadra Singh former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh who passed away in the early hours of 8 July,2021 . There shall be no official entertainment during this period. All state government offices including Boards, Corporation and Autonomous Institution except the offices dealing with the essentional services shall remain closed on 8th of July, 2021.
IGMC Senior Medical Superintendent Dr Janak Raj informed that Mr Singh died after pulmonary cardic arrest at 0340hrs on Today. He was in the hospital since April 30.
