HP CMO has become a den of corruption: BJP
The chief minister’s Office of Himachal Pradesh has become a den of corruption in the last six months under Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s government this was stated by BJP.
Addressing a press conference on the issue of an anonymous letter about Corruption charges on two IAS officers, BJP Spokesperson and Member of Assembly Naina Devi Mr Randhir Sharma said that Chief Minister and his leaders are trying to cover up this letter by terming it anonymous.
Taking a jib on the defenseless govt on the issue BJP leader said that complaint did not write his name on the letter but govt couldn’t feign ignorance about its author.
” if we read that letter completely, it is not completely anonymous.” Mr Sharma said adding that person who wrote the letter had said that “I am a government employee, I was posted in the Chief Minister’s office and when I opposed this type of corruption, I was replaced by the CMO.”
Seeking a probe by a neutral agency he said that If this matter is seriously investigated, many Bodies may come out of the cupboard.
He said that the Chief minister challenged the center to institute an enforcement directorate probe and stated on the issue that he was ready to probe but should give proof.
Exposed over charges merely in six months BJP said that it is unfortunate that government that claims zero tolerance for corruption now run away from the probe.
He asked that facts mentioned in the letter about a power project of Kinnaur district being built by M/s Patel Engineering Limited under the supervision of Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited never be denied by govt.
Mr. Sharma also asked did any favors extended to M/s Patel Engineering in the meeting of the Board of Directors of Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation held on 18 May 2023.
“Was it not a fact that in this meeting the extension has been given to this company,
If the project is not completed on time, then the penalty is imposed on that project, but here this project has been given an extension” BJP pointed out.
Referring to subletting of a building to Patel Engineering by the former chief secretary of BJP rule also in the letter said that BJP is ready to face a probe if anything happened during its government
Randhir Sharma alleged that the Congress government is taking anti-people decisions as following Punjab and Telangana, it had also recently denotified Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) for doctors.
This decision has been approved in the cabinet meeting held on 17 May. NPA has been closed for all four together, Allopathy, Dental, AYUSH, and Veterinary.
New doctors will no longer get NPA. The notification has been issued on May 24, according to which MBBS doctors, Dental Ayush doctors, and veterinary doctors recruited in Animal Husbandry Department in Himachal Pradesh will not get NPA.
The notification does not mention whether the newly admitted doctors can do private practice or not.
This will affect not only the doctors of Himachal Pradesh but also the people of Himachal Pradesh.
Due to the reduction in salary, doctors will not be interested in government jobs and this will affect health facilities across the state.
Congress party has closed government institutions, closed MLA funds, and made electricity expensive. He said that state governments are not making payments to contractors as they were not even being paid for the work done by them.
The lift charges were hiked to Rs 20 from 10 and no relief has been given to senior citizens in the lift. This decision will affect the general public as well as tourists.
During the Municipal Corporation Shimla elections, to impress the employees, it was announced to regularize the people engaged on a 2-year contract, party now challenged the govt to fulfill the promise.
