Himachal Assy condole the demise of three former MLA, CDS and Vipin Rawat
Himachal Pradesh Assembly five days winter Session began at Tapovan near Dharmshala on Friday and the house condoled the demise of Bodh Raj, Gurmukh Singh Bali and Dr. Shiv Kumar, former members, Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly and recent demise of General Vipin Rawat, CDS of Indian Armed Forces and Lance Naik Vivek and other Jawan of Indian Armed Forces in Kanoor Helicopter mishap.
As the house assembled for winter session Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur present obituaries reference on the demise of three Members and said that all demised member hailed to Kangra district.
He said that Bodh Raj (65) died on Aug 16, 2021. He was Member of Assembly from 2003 to 2007.
Mr Thakur also condoled the demise of CDS Gen Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat died in Helicopter mishap on Dec 8, 2021.
CM condoling the demise of Gurmukh Singh Bali (67) former Congress party Minister for transport who died Oct 30 2021 who was elected from ,2003 , 2007 and 2012 form the Nagrota Assembly.
He said that Bali often invited controversy for taking his own stand on issues and keep on pursuing it.
He said that Mr Bali was doiminent leader of Kangra district and both of them elected for this house together in 1998 Assembly Election.
He said that Gen Rawat was a brave Armed Officer and our enemy Armed Forces also know the his bravery and have fear of him.
Gen Rawat has deep connection with state as he completed his early schooling from St Edwards Schools Shimla.
Lance Naik Vivek belonged died in the mishap who was staff members of CDS. Vivek belonged to Jaisinghpur area of Kangra district. Mr Thakur informed as many as 13 killed in MI-17 Helicopter and only one captain of helicopter is alive.
Opposition. Congress Leader Mukesh Agnihotri said that Mr Bali introduce the Volvo high end bus services in the state. He came with electronic buses schemes and worked open number IIT in the state.
Mr Shiv Kumar Sharma was elected as BJP leaders in 1990 but Mr Sharma’s father Amarnath Sharma was Congress state president, Mr Agnihotri said.
Ram Lal Thakur of Congress while paying obituary to former MLA GS Bali said that he had forsee just before his demise that Third front is emerging in the future in Himachal state politics.
Mr Thakur Thakur said that he wanted to know the statement of Mr Bali about Third front as he knows that several attempts made to create Third front by former Congress leader Sukh Ram Thakur by creating Himachal Vikash Congress and BJP leader Mahishwar Singh by creating Himachal Lokhit party.
Ramlal Thakur however told the house just before his death on Oct 30 this year that he made this statement out of frustration but he took his word back.
Mr Bali was one of leader who was more intimate to BJP leaders than Congress although he was popular and very close to Congress party leader and central leaders irrespective of Poltical line, Congress leader said. Proceedings continue.
BJP MLA Arun Kumar (Alias Kuka ) condoling the demise of G S Bali in the state assembly said that he was bold enough and started projecting him Chief ministerial candidate of Congress in 2022 Election during Punjab Assembly Election however he could not survive. He said that Mr Bali was bold enough to do unpredictable things as in 1998 he was elected MLA for the first time and BJP leader Ramesh Dhawal who was considered powerful leader of won as Independent Candidate was lifted from his house along with him(Kuka) to taken Holylodge to support at form the Congress Virbhadra Singh Goverment However Mr Dhawal later taken back the support from Virbhadra Goverment and it fall down in 13 days
