HP Assembly pay tributes over demise of former MLAs
Himachal Pradesh Assembly paid the tributes over demises of former MLAs late Kashmiri Lal and Joshi-Chaman Lal paying obituaries references on the 2nd day of budget session.
Vidhan Sabha Speaker Vipin Parmar said that former MLAs who had died recently before the commencement session to be paid obituary references in the house. Speaking on the condolence, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur condoled the death of Kashmiri Lal and said that Kashmiri Lal died on 28 January 2022. He was born in 1938 in Haroli. He was also MLA from Santoshgarh twice.
CM also expressed grief over the death of former Vidhan Sabha member Chaman Lal , died on 13 January 2022 at the age of 77. Chaman Lal was born on 6 January 1945 in Solan. For the first time in 1977, he became an MLA from the Janata Dal.
Taking part in the mourning, Leader of the Opposition Mukesh Agnihotri said that Kashmiri Lal was devoted to service of weaker section of society who had left politics for a few years and went into spirituality. While Chaman Lal also remained devoted to public service. Assembly Speaker Vipin Parmar, Members Dr. Rajiv Bindal, Rakesh Singha, Health Minister Dr. Rajiv Saizal, Satpal Raizada, Balbir Choudhary, Lakhwinder Singh, Col. Dhani Ram Shandil also included themselves in the condolence to departed leaders, The house also observed brief in respect of demised legislators.
