HKS strongly denounces brutal repression on farmers at Karnal by Haryana Govt
The All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) and Himachal Kissan Sabha strongly denouncer the brutal violence unleashed by the BJP-JJP government in Haryana, on peaceful farmer protestors in Karnal today.
State Kissan Sabha President Dr Kuldeep Tanwar said in a press release today that scores of farmers were seriously injured and were bleeding in the violence unleashed by the police today.
The worst aspect was the disgraceful orders of the DM to the police force deployed in Karnal to “break the heads” of the protestors. The HKS demands the immediate dismissal of the DM who gave these orders.
The HKS warns the BJP-JJP state government that the current unprecedented farmers’ struggle can never be suppressed by such inhuman acts of the anti-people government. These efforts at repression will only strengthen the farmers’ resolve and determination.
The SKM has already given a call to people of Haryana to block roads everywhere. Farmers all over Haryana have responded to this call and have conducted Chakka Jaams which are still continuing.
Coming on the heels of the massively successful SKM National Convention at the Singhu Border for the last two days, this repression is even more shocking and reprehensible.
The AIKS calls upon all its units across the country to condemn this barbaric repression in Haryana by organising immediate nationwide protest demonstrations everywhere.
