Himachal’s E-Parivar Initiative Nears Completion, Boosting Digital Governance
Himachal Pradesh has achieved a significant milestone in its digital governance journey, with 99.84% of family members successfully verified under the E-Parivar register. Out of 75,18,296 registered individuals, a remarkable 75,05,913 have been verified, marking a major step in streamlining family records digitally.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu emphasized that E-Parivar is a cutting-edge online platform designed to manage family records at the Gram Panchayat level. To ensure accuracy and efficiency, the system was made mandatory on April 27, 2024. Panchayat Secretaries have been provided with secure login credentials to update family data in their respective areas, simplifying record-keeping and ensuring seamless additions and modifications.
Enhancing Service Delivery Through Digital Integration
Taking the initiative further, the government is currently mapping family details with ration cards to enhance service delivery. E-Parivar also facilitates various online services, including Parivar Nakal, marriage certificates, and BPL certificates, accessible through the E-Parivar and E-District portals.
CM Sukhu reiterated his government’s commitment to leveraging technology for improved governance. He stated that all departments have been directed to integrate digital solutions to enhance transparency, efficiency, and citizen-centric service delivery. This initiative is expected to minimize paperwork, streamline administrative processes, and ensure government services reach people at their doorstep.
“The E-Parivar initiative reflects our vision of a digitally empowered Himachal Pradesh, ensuring governance is more accessible, efficient, and transparent for every citizen,” said CM Sukhu.
